BHAGAVAD GEETHA LESSON _1-6th DAY

Arjuna continued 

I wish to see who desires to fight  with me.I want to see   that  those who supported Duryodhana 

 Shri krishna drove his chariot between the two Armies and stopped facing Bheeshma and Drona then said "Arjuna please see your enemies 

 Arjuna stood between to Armies.He saw his grand father,master,and other close relatives  Arjuna said krishna 

Oh Krishna, I see my close relatives here with the desire to fight.My limps are weak ,my mouth is dry  My body is shaking, and my hair is standing on its end Oh ! krishna,my bow GAANDEEVA has slipped  from my hand  I am unable to stand .I do not desire victory or a kingdom,of what use in a kingdom?

Krishna  knew very well that Arjuna will feel weak and these for he must remove such bad thoughts from his mind.He decided to make Arjuna a good warrior.

Many  people have requested  me to exclude the slokas and  give  only  the  summary. There for  Iam giving the  summary  of  slokas 12to19 in  first  chapter  of  bhagavad  geetha
Mahabharatha  is a historic  subject-The  europeans  and  some  of one  inteligents  are  saying  that it is  a myth.They  could  not approve of it  as history
Maha bharatha says about the high  standard of  our society at  that time.It shows us the  high standards  of scientific and modern life in the society. It mentions about Aeroplanes guns etc used in those  days
Summary  of slok's

Bheeshma  the  leader of kourava Army sounded the conch to please Duryodhana

Then the kourava Army sounded perumpara(a kind  of big drum)conch,and GOMUKHA(A musical instrument shapped  like cow'head)
Krishna  and Arjjuna sounded their conches too
Krishna blew his conch PANCHAJANYAM Arjuna his conch DEVADATHTHAM,and Bheema blew his  own conch POUNDRAKA
The young Prince Yudheeshtira  blew his conch ANANTHA VIJAYAM. While Nakula blew his conch SUGHOSHAM,and  Sahadeva  blew his  conch MANIPUSHPAM
KashiRaja,Shikhandi, Dhrushta dyumna,Virada,Sathyaki,Drupada, Abhimanyu all sounded their own conches

The  Sky and Earth  trumbled  when pandavas  sounded their  conches and this  pierced the  heart of kouravas
After  the  sounding conch es  Arjuna kept his bow down and asked Krishna to take him in front of the  kourava's Army

****Duryodhana  analysed  his own Army.He had no hope for victory, So he had been trying to provocate dronaachaarya- He only trusted  karna- The mind of Bheeshma and Drona had always been with Pandavaas

Vyasa was the son of the great sage parashara-He wrote a book named jaya -He meditated on brhma the creator who manifested himself before him, Vyasa saluted him with bowed head and folded hands and prayed to him 

"Brhama deva,I have conceived a book named jaya .But I don't know who is the best person to expand on it 

brhma told vyaasa to invoke Ganapathi and beg him to be your assistant--Having said these words Brahma disappeared.

The sage vyasa meditated on Ganapathi who appeared before him -Vyasa received him with due respect and sought his help.Ganapathi agreed to write the work of sage Vyasa.This is the story so far

Now who is this Ganapathy?

students were known as __GANAM--in former times.Sage Shuka son of sage Vyasa was the leader of students.or gana's. Pailan-vaishambaayanan-Jamini-Sumanthu-Shuka -these were the students of Vyasa. so leader Shuka was known asGanapathy. Sage Shuka expanded jayaand named Mahabhaaratha

 Vyasa  had first taught this great epic to his son the sage Shuka-therefore Shuka could expand Jaya very easily
